Allison Bell is Senior Editor of National Underwriter Life & Health, with responsibility for covering health and disability insurance as well as employee benefits. She is also Web Editor for the online National Underwriter L&H Daily News. Ms. Bell joined National Underwriter in 1996 and was promoted to her current position in 2007. Previously, she covered the defense, minicomputer and Unix beats for Mass High Tech, a biweekly business newspaper in Watertown, Mass.; the banking, real estate, citrus and general aviation beats for The Press Journal, a daily newspaper in Vero Beach, Fla.; and banking and insurance for The Business Journal of Charlotte, a weekly business newspaper in Charlotte, N.C.  Ms. Bell has a B.A. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and a M.A. in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Trevor Thomas is a Senior Editor of National Underwriter Life & Health, which he joined in 1998. His primary responsibilities include covering trends in long term care insurance, voluntary worksite benefits, life settlements and banks-in-insurance. In addition, he contributes to the NU online newsletters, LTC e-Wire and Settlement Watch. Mr. Thomas was promoted to his current position in 2007. Previously, he served as associate editor of Business News New Jersey and had senior writing and editing positions with Warren, Gorham & Lamont, the Research Institute of America, the National Institute of Business Management and the American Management Association. He has a B.A. in Communication Arts from Fordham University.

Warren S. Hersch is Senior Editor, Advanced Markets & Sales, for National Underwriter Life & Health, which he joined in 2004. He covers practice management and life insurance-funded advanced planning techniques and trends in such areas as executive benefits, trust and estate planning, business succession planning and charitable planning for high net worth individuals and small business owners. In addition, he is the lead writer for Annuity Sales Buzz, a monthly e-newsletter published by NU for advisors who sell annuities. Previously, Mr. Hersch served in various editorial capacities at Call Center Magazine, Teleconnect and Computer Reseller News (CRN), all publications of IT publishing house CMP Media. He also was an editor and analyst at Probe Research. Mr. Hersch has a B.A. in economics and history from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Jack Bobo has been involved in the life insurance business since the 1950s.  Mr. Bobo enjoyed a long and successful career in the field as an agent with New York Life. He was elected president of the National Association of Life Underwriters for the 1977-78 term.  At the beginning of 1979, Mr. Bobo was named executive vice president of NALU. Under his leadership the organization grew to a peak of over 140,000 members.  Mr. Bobo has been a columnist for National Underwriter for several years and his To The Point column is widely read and admired.

Arthur D. Postal is National Underwriter’s Washington Bureau Chief. He has covered Washington for financial services publications since 1986, and has been writing about insurance issues since 1989. Mr. Postal came to the nation’s capital after serving for 10 years as Financial Editor for a metropolitan daily in Baltimore for 10 years. He joined National Underwriter in May 2004 with the acquisition of Insurance Chronicle by the National Underwriter Company.
